Incentive Program - Bank Account Style

With the Motivation bank account style incentive program participants collect points over time and can spend them on any of a number of incentive prizes.
Participants can earn points for any or all of:
• Entries in the activity log
• Entries in the pedometer log
• Entries in the weight log
• Enrollment in a Team Lean Challenge
• Taking an HRA
• Checking in at your facility
• Entries in a custom log (e.g. 1 point per minute of walking)
• Selecting an item that you have added to the “Earn Wellness Points” list.
The last item, in particular, lets you offer rewards for essentially any kind of behavior that you wish to encourage (e.g. “I ate 5 servings of fruit and vegetables today). This is particularly useful in wellness programs where you do not wish to only reward the already typically active participants but want to make people think about the entire range of health promoting behaviors that they may be able to implement.

Configuring an Incentive Program

1. Click on "Configuration" from the Motivation Administration Menu.
2. Click on "Incentive" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click "Configure Program" from the submenu.

Configuring an Incentive Program

1) Please note that to show or hide the incentive program link you must go to the Home Page Configuration Page.
2)Use Start/End Date: If you choose to use a start and end date for the incentive program complete this area with the appropriate dates. If your incentive program will run continually them uncheck the Use Start/End date.
3) Points Limit: This feature allows you to set a limit on how many points a participants can earn in the entire incentive program.
4) Activity Log: If you wish to include activity points from the participants activity log in the incentive program, check here.
5) Walking Log: If you wish to include Walking log points from the participants pedometer log in the incentive program, check here. We also provide you with the flexibility to determine the walking points threshold if you choose to change it.
6) Max Aerobic points: Can be set to limit the number of points that a participant can earn daily for aerobic activity.
7) Attendance Credits: If you are tracking attendance you can associate points with each visit to the fitness center.
8) Weight Log/TLC Credits: This area allows you to give incentive points for weight log entries.
9) TLC Enrollment and Completion: When running a Team Lean Challenge you can give participants points for enrollment and completion of the program.
10) Incentive Points for HRAs: Points can be given to participants for taking the assessments available in Motivation. The "comprehensive" line item is the primary Health Risk Appraisal or also known as the Wellness Profile.

Define Wellness Activities for the Incentive Program

1. Click on "Configuration" from the Motivation Administration Menu.
2. Click on "Incentive" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click "Define Wellness Activities" from the submenu.

Adding Items to the Incentive Program

1) Organization and Location: Choose the organization and location which you want the to view/change incentive items.
2) Category: If you wish to organize the incentive item in Categories, indicate the name of the category here. (e.g. social health, physical well being)
3) Activity: List the name of the activity
4) Points: Indicate how many points you want a participant to earn for the activity.
5) Delay: The delay time allow you to choose how often a participant can claim points for the particular activity. (i.e 7 would allow the participant to claim the activity once a week or 30 would allow the participant to claim the activity only once a month)
6) Description: You can add a description to provide further information on the requirements for claiming the activity.
Click GO to submit the activity to the incentive list.

Adding or Changing Incentive Program Prizes

1. Click on "Configuration" from the Motivation Administration Menu.
2. Click on "Incentive" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click "Prize (Bank Account Style)" from the submenu.

1) Prize Name: Indicate the name of the incentive program prize here.
2) Points: Enter in the number of points the incentive program prize is worth here.
3) Organization and Location: Indicate the Organization and Location where the incentive prize is available.
4) Description: Write a description of the incentive program prize.
5) Picture: Upload a picture of the incentive prize by browsing for the file on your computer. Then you must select "Upload" to upload the picture to Motivation.

Managing Prize Claims

1. Click on "Configuration" from the Motivation Administration Menu.
2. Click on "Incentive" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click "Prize Claim (Bank Account Style)" from the submenu.

Managing Prize Claims

This screen allows you to track and manage participants whom have claimed prizes in the incentive program through Motivation.
1) Claim Now: Once a participant has claimed a prize through Motivation you will see their information posted on this page. To process their claim choose "Claim Now".

Process a Prize Claim

You can process a prize claim by pressing "Claim Now". This will verify that the prize has been shipped or given to the participant.
